Best V6 Honda/Acura that isn’t the NSX?
I tend to think it’s the 3.2 CL Type-S.
Because the J32 is best J block V6. Somewhat related: I’m told that the J32A1 (non Type-S) can take the J37 exhaust manifold and throttle body.

WRONG RSX or nothing!
Who cares if it isn’t a v6, Honda v6s suck anyway

THAT’S NOT A V6 THOUGH

ACURA DOESN’T EVEN HAVE THAT MANY V6S IVE OPENED IT UP TO ALL ACURA PRODUCTS

The Type S manual sedan (in blue) was definitely a “that will be mine” car for me for a few years.

Drives like a marshmallow on stilts but with proper transmission maintenance can run to 500k miles. Also incredibly useful. High resale value.

If you ever found a Legend Coupe V6 with a stick, you would be a, uhh, legend in these parts.

There’s a company that makes the whole kit, engine mounts, trans adapter, and intake manifold. It’s like 3 grand tho

Other than the transmission issues, I’m actually having trouble arguing against this.
Doesn’t help that Honda hasn’t made many V6s...

I know, I have a friend looking intently at that kit but he decided to swap a JDM motor into his NB for the time being.

EASYily the best is a J32 swapped EG

Good lord that engine is almost as big as the engine bay. I would have retrofitted a lower subframe to fit that whole engine under the hood.
![]() 10/12/2017 at 11:53 |

well yes, you CAN fit a j32 under the hood, but then the oilpan will tear open if drive over a pebble.
![]() 10/12/2017 at 11:53 |

Don’t need oil. The J32 is lubricated by friendship and magic.

2nd gen Legend Coupe is where it’s at. Much better proportioned than the CL imo.

The thing that killed my 03 was rust. The V6 made it nose heavy, that was noticable when jumping over train tracks.

I’m going to cheat and use a zero-degree V6.
That’s 250 cc. Not per cylinder, 250 cc for the whole thing. 62 hp @ 18000 RPM. In 1966.

You know, that doesn’t sound too bad. <$1000 for a beat NA Miata that needs a new engine/transmission, $3000 for the kit, $1000 for the engine, $1000 for the transmission. Roughly $6000 later and you have one monster of a car.
